How do you like me now?

New website…a new year…and new books. Nothing better.

The first release of the year was a new romantic suspense called Dark Water Rising, from Mira Books.

Face your fears, people say. Well, I faced mine writing this book. I am scared spitless of dark, deep water. Wild water. White water. Water out of control. Set in Houston during hurricane season, writing Dark Water Rising was a rollercoaster ride for me. Imagine being a woman alone and injured, trapped in an empty house during a hurricane, and the next two people who find shelter there with you are escaped prisoners. All I’m going to say is that I was happy to put her world upright and give her a happy-ever-after.

My next new book out comes at the end of this month…February 26. It’s called Forever my Hero. It’s a new book in my continuing Blessings series. Each story is a stand-alone book, but they’re all connected to each other by the same people who live in that town. All of the Blessings books have some drama. I can’t write just sweet love stories. But I can promise a sweet love story in each book, and the best feel-good, happy-ever-afters when the stories are over. I call this book my cross-over book. But it wasn’t characters that I carried from one book to another, it was weather. This book has hurricane weather, too. But what can I say, it was the season for them, and both of the places in the books are in coastal regions. I love this little town and the people in it so much, that if the place was real, I would move there.

      Yes… it’s the Jigsaw Files, and each book has its own title. There will be 4 of them. Thanks.
